Bunnies

I still don't have my laptop hooked up for wireless so I can't post any pictures. My brain is too frazzled from the move to even attempt to figure out how to do it on hub's Mac.

Becky left a comment about the bunny that Maggie caught and for her to be careful because of their teeth. I can't wait to show you a picture of them here. In California we have rather large field rabbits. Not too cute and they stay out in the fields.

What they have here are the cutest little, itty, bitty, cottontail bunnies. Something you would give your children at Easter if you didn't know better, but that's another story. They are all over the neighborhood and burrow around the foundation of the houses. Sometimes Maggie will sit with just her head poking out the pet door waiting - hoping. If she sees one, she's off to the races. The other day she was sitting in the entryway and looking out the storm door that is glass all the way down. She spotted a bunny on the neighbors lawn and went berserk! She actually got up on her hind legs and just stood straight up like a person. I tried to get a picture but my camera wasn't fast enough.

I remember the first time I came out here to visit our son. I was taking a walk in the neighborhood and saw a bunny in a front yard. I actually went up to the front door to ask them if they had a pet rabbit that had gotten out! I'm so glad no one was home!!!!

I think it's ironic that I have collected garden bunny statues over the years. I have them sitting in the back yard. Now they have furry friends as well.

Gotta go - things to do, things to do.....

Jean it sounds like you are all settled in and enjoying your new surroundings in CO!! So sorry it didn't work out for us to see each other on your move trip. When I talked to Skeeter we got cut off. Been meaning to see how you are doing.

I have been running for about 5 weeeks straight.Just got done cooking for rodeo Bible Camp. We cook for 80 -100 most meals then the last day they have a rodeo to show parents what they have learned - the meal is after rodeo and chapel and balloons up to 150 +.It is always a wonderful time of growth for so many of the campers and many of the rodeo hands hear the Gospel and find faith in Him during this time.
It does wear me out though and with all the things going on previously I have been laying low lately!
How have you been feeling? With the move and all I am sure your energy is not full force either- sure wish we could find a perfect potion to boost it sometimes!!

Glad to see you guys are alive and doing just fine. Sounds like Maggie is having fun with those little bunnies. Out here at the ranch I've given three dog baths today alone...cause dogs just get dirty on the ranch. Buddy has decided he wants to take on a momma Black Angus and her two babies we have in our pasture! Yikes, he really has a "little dog" complex! Also, we have a new dog...a cow dog named Denver. He's six months old and already named and soooo cute. Sorry we didn't get to see you guys before you left. Keep in touch. Yvonne

Nice to have your comment on my Blog Miss Jean! I am sorry about the bunny and Maggie...things like that do make us sad. I will look forward to reading about your 'new home life', how exciting! Gotta get ready for Beach Cities Quilt Guild meeting tonight. I have missed so many this year. Just been too tired to go and deal with the parking. Off to make spaghetti for dinner.

Dear Jean,
I want to thank you so much for the sweet and kind note your left me about the passing of my sister, it was so very thoughtful of you.
I didn't know Colorado had a lot of bunnies. I think they can do a lot of damage to the garden. They are cute though.
Just take your time unpacking, and putting things away. You might move things around a few times until you find just the right place for it.
We had a heat wave this last weekend over 100 and so so hot! just look at what you missed. LOL
Have a sweet day and big hugs, Elizabeth
