Rain, rain, go away.....

Well, actually, California needs the rain badly, so it can keep on raining as far as I'm concerned. Yesterday's storm was a real doozy. Downpours, thunder and lightning. We had one big thunder clap and pour little Maggie jumped up into my lap, her heart just pounding.

I was in my room and saw something go flying by the window. It was my garden flag. Not just the flag, but the pole was torn out of the wood! Good grief!

It's a good day to stay indoors and catch up on my sewing projects, have a cup of tea and listen to country music on the television.

What do you like to do when the weather is too nasty to go outside?

Well, we had rain and fog today and I baked chocolate chip cookies and worked on a mosaic birdhouse for a special person....

I love rainy days too!

Hello Jean, I like to have something warm to drink and work on a project....in a warm room. With my dogs and a good talk show on the radio. We sure are getting a lot of rain. I can hardly wait until Spring. I love the warm sun and spring flowers. Hope your garden flag is still in one piece. sandi

Yikes! I hope you're staying safe Miss Jean! Our schools are closed here today, due to icy conditions (they aren't that bad!) but sadly we still have to venture forth. Be careful with all that rain!

Wow, you and Becky need to anchor yourselves down so you don't end up in Kansas like she said. Stay safe and hugs Maggie.

Are you still getting soaked over there?
We have had no moisture but the wind has been fierce! I had to work at the Antique store to day and I only had 2 people come in all day. I knew when I woke up to the sound of the wind that it was going to be a dead day! I got my booth all switched around and more inventory priced with no interruptions!

We are having 3 sets of guests this next week then 2 sets the following week so I think my blogging will be very sparse! Have so much to do before all arrive and of course it would have to be the time that the fibromylgia flares up! Oh well, God is good and I will get done what needs to get done in His strength!

Oh my stars, the same thing happened to me in December! Thankfully it didn't come through your window like a javelin.

My favorite thing to do on wintery days like this is have Afternoon Tea! Full service everything! Make scones, tea sandwiches, savories, treats~ you name it! I lurve how it instantly slows down the pace of the day and I rest.
