Day Trip

We recently had some hot weather. Ugh!! I hate the heat and wish I could live on the coast here in California or in Oregon or Washington. In fact, if I could live on Bainbridge Island I would be in heaven. Of course I'd have to take my entire family and friends with us, but hey, that's what dreams are made of.

We thought we'd get away from it so off Sweety and I went with mom, the grandson's and even Maggie in tow over to the coast to Half Moon Bay. It was freezing! That's my luck, but that's alright. I like cool coastal weather more than inland heat any day. The boys had a good time. Check out the dimple on Mr. R on the left there. These two boys are the BEST!!

Half Moon Bay is so pretty and picturesque. The seagulls are always more than happy to pose.

Maggie had a wonderful time. There are lots of interesting noises and smells to keep her busy.

No, this isn't from the coast. I thought I'd sneak this picture in and introduce you to one of the newest members of our family. This is Rocky who owns my Uncle Carl. Notice I didn't say "is owned by". As dog owners, we all know who owns who. He's a sweet little guy who never stops moving. Yes, he's full grown and just about as big as a minute. He still has a few personal hygiene problems (needs to know the difference between going outside and inside) but he's making progress. One of these days I'm going to get brave and introduce him to Maggie.

Today the weather has cooled down for some reason, but I'm not complaining. I'm keeping busy in the sewing room.

Have a wonderful day!

Look at Rocky -- he's got that "Pleeezed to meet ya" smirk on his face. Your grandsons look so cute -- I'll bet they had a wonderful day with you!

Isn't it amazing how much different the weather can be from the Central Valley to the coast? I remember that heat. I never experienced anything like that. I don't care that it is a "dry" heat, it is still hot!! Cute cute pictures of the furry friends.

I'm with you Jean, I'd lurve to live closer to the coast than the center of the heat! UGH!!!!

Looks like you all had a wonderful day at HMB!!! We lurve it too but rarely drive past Monterey/Carmel because we love that so much too and by then, we are all ready to get out of the car. ha ha

Hi Jean!!

Looks like you had a fun, family day. I know what you mean about the heat - it has really bothered me this year - more than ever. I even consented to an air conditioner - which I'm generally not fond of, but am enjoying.

Maggie and Carrleigh have the same harness and leash. I'm trying to decide which pattern I will order for Ruairi - he needs to grow a bit first, but I'm afraid they might quit selling them if I don't get one soon and all of the others have them in different patterns - I'd hate for him to feel left out - LOL!!

Have a wonderful evening.

Lynn
