Peer Pressure and More

As I mentioned in the previous post, we spent Memorial Day dinner with our dear friends who also have Scotties. They are always gracious in that they let us bring our Maggie to see her sister, Fiona, and her half brother, Duhgall. Now I know that you parents of teenagers out there will understand my concern. I knew that once she became a teenager there would be peer pressure and all sorts of problems that replaced the chewing toddler stage. Ever since we came home she has been pleading with me to let me paint her toe nails. Nope. Ain't gonna happen. Sorry, Maggie. When you are all grown up you can make those decisions on your own. As long as you are under my roof.........................

"Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him well" This is one of my favorite garden bunnies. He...give me a minute....had a terrible accident this week. Sob!!! Gardener + leaf blower = crash. He ended up in the trash sans ears. Gone but not forgotten!!!

I went to a local street fair in Pleasanton, California last month. The entire downtown was filled with antique vendors. Although I had hurt my back and could hardly move, I managed to drag my crippled little self along. I wasn't gonna miss out so I popped a few pills, put on the game face and off I went. I apologize to all our you who were there who thought I was rude for not getting out of the way. Fact is, I couldn't move fast enough to be polite. There were lots of great items and lots of people with there dogs. This little cutey won the prize. Is she adorable or what? Course that's because there wasn't a scotty in sight!

It's Saturday night so I think I'll go watch a good movie and rest up for next week. Stay safe out there friends.

Awe, poor bunny! Hope you got a wee bit of a discount this month for his passing. My friend went to that street fair and came out with eye candy reports of all the wonderful things there too!

Now you realize that a Rocky Creek Scottie has painted toenails as soon as they are born! We really spoil those puppies. BOL!!

So sorry to hear about your back - and hope you can rest and recuperate. I'm sure Maggie is a great nurse.

Have as Super Sunday,
Lynn

Oh poor bunny! The same thing happened to my goose. Someone tipped him over and his beak broke.

Shoot I wish I had known about the Pleasanton antique fair. I love any excuse to go to down town Pleasanton.

You might be opening a can of worms with the red polish ... If you give a Scottie a pedicure - sounds like a book! I just found your blog and am enjoying it very much. Hope you feel better. Lisa

Hey Jean - is that Cooper, Georgia? I'm not sure where that is near in Georgia. Let me know. Thanks so much for stopping by - I haven't been blogging long and don't get many comments so... I love it when I get one! Thanks! Lisa

LOVED this post too.

It's okay Maggie - my Maggie has never had hers done either.

Hello Miss Jean! I love your blog and was excited to see that you love the same things and places we do. Pleasanton is our favorite place to go, especially craft shows and Christmas...walking and oooing and awwwing as we walk by the highly decorated shops!! We also love Half Moon Bay....anytime!! We live in the East Bay and love it here. Thought I would mention the Alameda Antique's Market on the old Alameda Naval Air Station. If you have never been there it is on the first Sunday of every month and well worth the trip to go too!! Hubby and I have a booth there and love the awesome finds. If you ever decide to go please let me know as I would love to meet you!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful blog...I love it!! Carol
