Lest we forget

Lissa, over at Moda Lissa had this wonderful graphic on her blog and has written a very concise post about the tragedy of 9/11 and the American flag. Hop on over to her blog to see what she has to say.

First of all, we all need to take some time to reflect on the tragedy that happened to our country eight years ago. It is incredible that that many years have passed. Can you believe it? It seems like yesterday. As a military family, I can tell you that my heart ached for a long time after that awful event.

Like Lissa says, the patriotism that swelled throughout the country united us. We need to united again in the face of the tragedies and trials that this country is going through today.

Fly your flag.
Pray for our military.
Pray for our firefighters and law enforcement personnel.
Pray for our leaders.
Most of all, pray for this great country.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

So true! Nicely said. My brother-in-law is career Army and is currently serving in Afghanistan, so we try and keep the flag up whenever we can (crazy weather sometimes doesn't cooperate). Have a wonderful weekend!!!
