Memorial Day has special meaning for me. I consider it a day to honor not only those who sacrificed their lives in service for their country, but a day to remember those who continue to serve. I can't really say it better this year than how I said it last year. The only difference is that our son is being deployed this year. Not only is this a true concern for me, but I am so very much more proud for what he does and what he stands for.
Thanks Aaron, I know others are thanking you also.

And please thank Aaron from your blogging friends too, Miss Jean!
Just as I thank God for everyday he watched over my husband in VN, I will thank God for watching over Aaron... and his family.
And thank you from my family to yours! Beautiful post ~ simple yet meaningful!
Please thank Aaron for me too - as you probably know my hubby was a career Marine and I feel so fortunate to have him here with me every day, safe and sound.
(((hugs))) to you, Mr. ITG and to Aaron. To have a child in the military makes you very proud, but also gives your heart a pause for concern for their safety and happiness. I hear your heart, dear friend. God listens and God answers prayers.
love you so much!
Becky
