I'm getting ready to go on my annual quilting retreat this weekend. This will be the tenth year that my quilt group and I have traveled to the foothills to the most peaceful retreat center you could ever want to go to. If you click on the link and go to "rent our facilities" and then "Silver Ridge" you'll see where we stay. We quilt in the room with the chairs. The center provides tables and chairs for us. We arrive at noon on Friday and leave after breakfast Monday. We quilt, eat, laugh, eat, read, eat, take walks, eat, watch movies, eat and have lots of fun. Did I mention the fabulous food? I'll have pictures to share when I return.

Because I'm a quilter I thought I would share this video. I never get as much quilting done as I want to or should. Something always gets in the way, excuses are made, time is wasted. Diane is an amazing lady and is such an inspiration. I'll think twice before making any excuses as to why I "can't" do something. She shows us that you can do what is in your heart, no matter what the circumstances. I have a feeling you'll see this video popping up all over blog land!

I have no excuses for sure.
How fun a quilting weekend and getaway, I am so excited for you.
I can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures. I could really lean a lot from you, I just finish my first big quilt..
Have fun I know you will!
Big hugs, Elizabeth

Oh Jean what a wonderful video!! I am always amazed at some peoples attitude and determination for a life filled with purpose and how God truly uses the needy, as the world sees it, to shine His glory and strength through!

Have a great time on your retreat! I cannot believe it is already time for it again!

We have LOTS of snow here and it is still snow- been doing so all day!
I do hope it clears by Thursday so I can get out and travel to NM for my Mom's 75th Birthday.

I am in utter awe!!!! I think I will have to share this on my blog, too. The part that I got was that warm feeling that went through her hands when she asked God what she was suppose to do. See how the Holy Spirit works? LOVE IT!!!!

Have a blast at retreat! Wish I could join ya for some good eats and good stitching time!'

PS: when you are home, we will celebrate your birthday!!!
