Oh Jean - this was always my favorite time of year when I lived in Modesto. The almond trees with all the petals on the ground reminded me of the snow covered trees of the Midwest- so pretty!
Hi Jean, I'm a lifelong Bakersfield resident and yet I forget to drive out to see the orchards. The housing tract and surrounding area where I live were once almond orchards. Thanks for the reminder to get out and see this momentary loveliness.
My husband and I are retired and live in the central valley of California with our Scottish Terrier, Maggie. Our daughter lives close by and has given us two of the most wonderful grandsons. Our son is in the Navy so I'm a proud Military Mom! I love gardening, quilting, collecting antiques, Scottish Terriers, reading and blogging. Thanks for buzzing by!

How beautiful!!! Spring is just starting to show up around here. Daffodils are blooming and little itty bitty buds are forming on some trees.
Beautiful Miss Jean! Oh, how I wish I were there to reap the benefit of all those blossoms! ;-D

There is beauty all around and you captured it with you good eye and camera. Congrats on the title for Kim's quilt. It is precious in person.
Isn't this time of year fabulous? I am loving all the blossoming trees right now too.
