Oh Jean - this was always my favorite time of year when I lived in Modesto. The almond trees with all the petals on the ground reminded me of the snow covered trees of the Midwest- so pretty!

How beautiful!!! Spring is just starting to show up around here. Daffodils are blooming and little itty bitty buds are forming on some trees.

Hi Jean,
I'm a lifelong Bakersfield resident and yet I forget to drive out to see the orchards. The housing tract and surrounding area where I live were once almond orchards. Thanks for the reminder to get out and see this momentary loveliness.

Isn't this time of year fabulous? I am loving all the blossoming trees right now too.
